Jira project setup, ticket creation, and project charter skills for the Renoworks PM team
Set up a structured Jira initiative inside an existing project (RW2, S4, MAINT, etc.) by creating Epics, Tasks, and Release issues. Supports two work streams — Platform (net-new features/products) and Enterprise (client Surfaces implementations). Use this skill when the user wants to create a new Jira project, initiative, or feature set — including when they provide a Confluence page with project details, or when they want to create Epics/Tasks/Releases in Jira. Automatically generates User Story, Expected Behaviour, and QA Acceptance Criteria for Platform tasks. Uses the standard TM-1 Jira template for Enterprise builds.
Create one-off Jira Tasks and/or Stories (with Sub-tasks) for a project already in progress. Supports two work streams — Platform (net-new features/products) and Enterprise (client Surfaces implementations). Use this skill when the user wants to add a small number of tickets (1–10) to an existing Jira project and Epic — NOT for setting up a new initiative from scratch. Platform tickets include User Stories and Acceptance Criteria. Enterprise tickets follow TM-1 naming conventions and issue types (DPL Task, DS Task, DPL Defect) with no User Story generation.
Fill in sections of a Confluence implementation/project page by reading a source discovery or requirements page. Use this skill when the user wants to populate sections like "Project Objective", "Business Objectives", "Success Criteria", "Risk Assessment", or similar structured sections on a Confluence page using content from another Confluence page.
A Claude Code plugin for the Renoworks Project Management team. Bundles three skills for Jira and Confluence workflows.
| Skill | Description | Trigger phrase |
|---|---|---|
| Project Charter Creation | Populate sections of a Confluence project charter from a discovery or requirements page | "Fill in the project charter from this discovery page" |
| Jira Project Creation | Full project setup in Jira — creates Epics, Tasks, and Releases for a new initiative | "Set up a new Jira project from this Confluence page" |
| Jira Ticket Creation | Create one-off tickets for projects already set up in Jira | "Create a few Jira tickets for this Epic" |
These skills connect to Jira and Confluence via the Atlassian integration built into Claude.
@renoworks.com Atlassian account and grant accessYou only need to do this once. The connection persists across sessions.
In Claude Code, run:
/plugin marketplace add https://github.com/Vonlex77/renoworks-pm-toolkit
/plugin install renoworks-pm-toolkit@renoworks-marketplace
/reload-plugins
That's it. The skills are now available in every Claude Code session.
Just describe what you want in plain language — Claude will pick up the right skill automatically.
Project Charter Creation — use when you have a discovery doc and want to populate a charter template:
"Fill in the project charter at [target URL] using the discovery doc at [source URL]"
Jira Project Creation — use when starting a brand-new initiative and need full Jira structure (Epics, Tasks, Releases) created from a Confluence project charter:
"Set up the Jira project from this charter: https://renoworks.atlassian.net/wiki/..."
Jira Ticket Creation — use when the project is already set up in Jira and you just need to add a handful of one-off tickets to an existing Epic:
"Create two backend tickets and one QA ticket under the S4 Roles & Permissions epic"
When Chad publishes a new version, run:
/plugin update renoworks-pm-toolkit
/reload-plugins
Skills aren't appearing — run /reload-plugins and try again.
Atlassian tools not working — check that your connector is still connected at claude.ai/settings/connectors. Re-authenticate if it shows as disconnected.
Wrong Jira account — the connector uses whichever Atlassian account you authenticated with. Make sure it's your @renoworks.com account.
