A Claude Code plugin that teaches Claude how to interact with Bitbucket Cloud and Server/Data Center repositories — manage pull requests, browse repos, view commits, read files, and search code.

Install

Or for a specific project only:

What it does

Once installed, Claude gains the /bitbucket skill and can automatically:

• Manage pull requests — list, create, merge, decline, comment, and view diffs
• Browse repositories — list workspaces/projects and repos
• View commits — browse commit history and details
• Read files — fetch file content from any branch
• Search code — find code across repositories

Supports both Bitbucket Cloud (bitbucket.org) and Bitbucket Server/Data Center with automatic platform detection from the configured URL.

Setup

After installing the plugin, set up credentials:

cd ~/.claude/plugins/skill-bitbucket/skills/bitbucket
python3 -m venv .venv
.venv/bin/pip install -r requirements.txt
cp .env.example .env   # then edit .env with your credentials

Bitbucket Cloud

Set these in your .env:

BITBUCKET_URL=https://bitbucket.org
[email protected]
BITBUCKET_API_TOKEN=your_app_password

Create an App Password with appropriate permissions.

Bitbucket Server / Data Center

BITBUCKET_URL=https://bitbucket.your-company.com
BITBUCKET_PAT_TOKEN=your_personal_access_token

Usage

Invoke the skill directly:

/bitbucket

Or Claude will invoke it automatically when the task involves Bitbucket repositories, pull requests, or code browsing.

Requirements

• Claude Code
• Python 3.8+
• Bitbucket credentials (App Password for Cloud, PAT for Server/DC)
