Four active voices -- first-principles-jester, labyrinth-librarian, systems-alchemist, and radagast-brown -- produce strange but anchored provocations. Never advice. Each default run combines an archetype, a provocation word, and a PO operator (De Bono's Provocation Operation) to deliberately nudge your thinking away from the obvious.

Default mode returns 10 provocations from one voice, plus 3 extracted mechanism-concepts (de Bono's movement step) and exactly one next experiment. --dial 0-100 (default 60) tunes the wild/tame cost mix. --chat mode runs all four voices through a 3-round flow and distills a final 20-idea list. --harvest triages pending runs and lands kept experiments in your TODO system.

Runs the divergence generator on <topic>. Add --dial 0-100 to tune how wild the cost mix should be (default 60 → 6 wild / 4 tame). Add --chat when the topic needs all four voices and a curated 20-idea output. Run --harvest periodically to review pending runs — verdicts feed the museum-clause and kept experiments land in your TODO system.

Topic resolution:

• Single-run with topic — runs normally.
• Single-run without topic — uses the most recent concrete task, plan, or problem from the current conversation as topic. If the conversation context is empty, meta, or too vague (e.g. "tell me a story", "how does this skill work"), the skill asks one clarifying question and stops instead of fabricating a topic.
• Chat-mode with topic — runs normally.
• Chat-mode without topic — explicitly rejected. Chat-mode costs ~10 LLM calls and 2-4 min wall-clock; the user must name the topic deliberately. The skill returns: Chat-mode requires an explicit topic. Run /crazy <topic> --chat or use single-run for ambient topics.
• --lab — opens the static Ideation Lab at skills/crazy-professor/lab/index.html. Standalone only; paste an existing professor output into the browser UI for triage and one copyable experiment card.

Status

v0.15.0 active (released 2026-06-14). User-facing surfaces: single-run (with --dial and Extracted Concepts), the new Duet-Mode (/crazy <topic> --duet [a,b] — two voices, ~4 calls, 6 distilled ideas), Chat-Mode, the static Lab (/crazy --lab), and the Harvest mode (/crazy --harvest). The v0.13.0 lean core is unchanged: Phase 4-8 stays rolled back (telemetry, voice/word-pool/cross-pollination linters, eval-suite, run-planner, patch-suggester, browser playground, telegram-dialogue scaffold, ideation-lab v2 design).
