You have access to [Everything](https://www.voidtools.com/) via `es.exe`, which maintains a real-time index of every file and folder across all NTFS drives and the WSL filesystem. Results return in ~50ms regardless of scope.

| Use Everything | Use Glob/Grep |
|---|---|
| "Where is that file?" (unknown location) | Searching within current project directory |
| Cross-drive/cross-project file discovery | Content search (what's inside files) |
| Finding files anywhere (Windows + WSL) by name | Pattern matching in known directory |
| "Which projects have package.json?" | Already know the directory |
| "Find all .env files on my system" | Need to read/grep file contents |
Key distinction: Everything searches filenames and paths only, not file contents. For content search, use Grep.

npx claudepluginhub spencer-life/everything-searchFinds files quickly using fd CLI tool with gitignore awareness, parallel execution, regex, glob patterns, and filters like size or time. Use for searching by name, extension, or pattern in directories.
Provides cheatsheets for fd to find files, ripgrep (rg) to search code content, and fzf for interactive fuzzy selection with previews. Includes combined workflows and performance tips.
Performs grep-like regex text search across file contents and discovers files in codebases using Brokk's searchFileContents, findFilesContaining, findFilenames, and listFiles tools.
