ClickUp Skill — MANBU

Prerequisite

ClickUp operations require the ClickUp MCP server configured on the user's machine. If the user attempts ClickUp operations and the MCP tools are unavailable, stop and ask the user to install & configure the ClickUp MCP server first.

Task Naming

• Use [CORE], [UI], [OPS], [INFRA] prefixes for clarity
• Subtask: <verb> <outcome> (no prefix)

Task Workflow

Statuses: tasks move through these states:

• Open → Task created, not started
• In Progress → Being worked on
• Complete → Done
• Cancelled → Abandoned

Progress Updates

• Open → In Progress when starting work
• In Progress → Complete when done
• Complete / Cancelled → terminal (no further transitions)

Custom Field Usage

• Wave: Set when creating/updating a task to indicate which release wave it belongs to
• Progress Updates: Automatically filled by ClickUp AI — do not manually edit
• Summary: Automatically filled by ClickUp AI — do not manually edit

Comment Trail

Add comments for:

• Key technical decisions
• Blockers and resolution
• Scope changes
• Final completion summary

Use clickup_create_task_comment.

Assign

• Tasks: assigned to human initiator
• Subtasks: unassigned unless explicit handoff
• Resolve assignees via clickup_resolve_assignees
