When ambiguous, prefer the cheaper single-generator mode. Never choose hybrid unless the brief clearly needs a generated scene and a working interface.

For hybrid: pick the embedStyle per the rubric below.
embedStyle (hybrid only)Hybrid plans MUST include an embedStyle field with one of four values. In the background styles the generated image is a backdrop the illustration's UI floats over; in floating-card the image is a contained card with UI chips at its edges; in interface-asset the image lives inside the rendered interface as its content. The interface is never composited into a pictured device's display.
background-pointer — the image becomes a large rounded backdrop card over a brand-gradient base, cropped/zoomed to its relevant region; the illustration renders a headline OVER the imagery with a design-tool selection marquee, plus a floating feature panel connected to it by a pointer line. Choose when the feature acts on the user's content shown in the imagery. LARGE canvases only (width ≥ 800 AND height ≥ 450) — the marquee + panel + connector need the room. The moderator demotes this style on smaller canvases, so plan accordingly: on a small canvas choose floating-card, background-full, or interface-asset directly instead.interface-asset — any canvas size. The illustration renders the product feature as the MAIN interface wireframe (the centerpiece at ~70-85% of canvas over an opaque brand-gradient base); the image sits INSIDE the interface as its hero/media asset, with 1-2 floating highlight fragments (prompt bubble and/or mini-toolbar) overlapping the wireframe's edge. Choose when the feature is a full product interface and the imagery serves as its content. (On a small canvas — under ~512px on both axes — the moderator's contract instead crops the frame: it bleeds off-canvas showing only the important corner at a legible scale, with large icons, per the wireframe small-format rule — never a whole UI shrunk to fit.)background-full — any canvas size. The image is the full-bleed background; the illustration renders the feature as a cluster of 1-3 floating UI fragments (primary card, optional mini-toolbar, optional prompt bubble) over the imagery's negative space. Choose when the imagery is ambience/persona back-story and the feature is the hero.floating-card — any canvas size; the small-format-native counterpart to background-pointer (never demoted). The image is a single contained rounded card (dominant, ~60-80% of canvas) on a pale surface-subtlest background — NOT full-bleed — with 1-2 small highlight chips/pills (a labelled chip and/or an icon pill) overlapping the card's edges; no marquee, no connector lines. Choose when the subject is the hero shown as a compact card and a couple of UI accents annotate it — the typical look for square / small-banner / inline-badge canvases.All imageBriefs follow the rules in rules/shared-hybrid-decomposition.md.
Classification is only the first step — the plan's feature strings are engineered briefs,
not echoes of the request. Apply these rules when writing them:

Every plan carries one sharedContext that both generators receive verbatim. It is the
consistency contract: paletteRefs MUST be hex values from the brand palette
(see the inlined uds-style-guide), subject names the one focal subject, tone is
3-5 adjectives, compositionPlan is one sentence about layout.
feature text must be a self-contained brief — the generators never see the original request.feature under 1200 characters; the orchestrator appends ~600 chars of context.The planner does NOT guess the generated image's colors. After the image exists, the
orchestrator measures its dominant tones and appends a Color harmony: block to the
illustration brief automatically. The plan's sharedContext.paletteRefs stay brand
anchors; compositionPlan may state a tonal intent (e.g. "calm cool tones"), which the
imageBrief should reflect so the measured tones land in the intended family.
