🛒 Instacart API Layer
A safe grocery-planning layer for browser agents.
Built for agents that can read, reason, compare stores, and help users plan groceries — without ever checking out.
🧠 What This Is
Instacart API Layer is not a normal app for people to manually run.
It is a tool layer for agents.
Agents can use this layer to understand the active Instacart browsing session, read page state, inspect visible grocery options, compare stores, and build safer grocery plans for the user.
The goal is simple:
Let agents help users plan groceries.
Never let agents complete purchases.
This repository is also an existing npm package and multi-agent integration bundle:

Install the marketplace from Codex:
codex plugin marketplace add Waleeeeed88/instacart-for-agents --ref main
codex /plugins
Or use the existing npm package for multiple agents:
npx instacart-for-agents add all --repo .
The package is live on npm; if you specifically want to install from GitHub instead, use:
npx github:Waleeeeed88/instacart-for-agents add all --repo .
Agent-specific installers:
npx instacart-for-agents add codex --repo .
npx instacart-for-agents add claude --repo .
npx instacart-for-agents add cursor --repo .
npx instacart-for-agents add copilot --repo .
Then install/enable Instacart for Agents where needed and invoke @instacart-for-agents in Codex. Claude Code can add this repo as a marketplace with claude plugin marketplace add Waleeeeed88/instacart-for-agents. The npm installer is live as [email protected]. See INSTALL.md for all setup modes.
