Sylius AI Dev Skills is a Claude Code plugin marketplace for Sylius. It bootstraps the AI-assisted Sylius developer experience with opinionated skills that teach the agent how to register resources, place TwigHooks, build admin grids, send transactional email, react to domain events, and refuse the anti-patterns that plague generated Sylius code.

Skills are the control plane - when and why to apply a Sylius idiom and which anti-patterns to refuse. They pair with the Sylius Mate Extension MCP server, which is the data plane: live introspection of the host project's booted Symfony kernel (resources, hooks, routes, grids, mailer config, installed plugins).

The skills work without the Mate Extension, but expect a degraded experience - the agent marks unverifiable claims as ⚠ unverified and falls back to memory-only rules.

Installation

Quick bootstrap (recommended)

Use the sylius/sylius-ai-dev-tools pack inside your Sylius 2.x project:

composer require --dev sylius/sylius-ai-dev-tools
vendor/bin/sylius-ai init

That single command installs the Mate Extension MCP server, registers this marketplace, and installs the sylius-dev skill in Claude Code. Restart Claude Code afterwards.

Manual install

Add the marketplace and install the plugin from inside Claude Code:

/plugin marketplace add Sylius/sylius-ai-dev-skills
/plugin install sylius-dev@sylius-ai-dev-skills

Or point Claude Code at a local clone:

/plugin marketplace add /path/to/sylius-ai-dev-skills
/plugin install sylius-dev@sylius-ai-dev-skills

Then ask Claude Code something like:

Add a back-in-stock notification resource with admin grid, frontend subscribe form, Doctrine listener on variant restock, async email handler.

The skill auto-activates on Sylius feature phrases (Sylius resource, add to product page, admin grid, Sylius email, etc.).

Related Packages

For the full AI dev experience in Sylius, install only sylius/sylius-ai-dev-tools. It is the single entry point - a dev-only Composer pack that wires up everything end-to-end in one command:

• the Sylius Mate Extension MCP server (exposes the running Sylius kernel - resources, hooks, grids, routes, Twig helpers, mailer config, installed plugins - to AI assistants);
• this skills marketplace, with the sylius-dev skill registered in Claude Code.

You do not need to install Mate Extension separately. sylius-ai-dev-tools pulls it in transitively and runs its init/discover for you.
