Turns natural-language prompts into runnable local-first prototypes for web (Next.js) and mobile (Expo/React Native) using Buildable archetypes, design tokens, and spec-driven code generation, then reviews and renders the result for correctness and UI quality.
Create a Buildable UI/UX design brief from a prompt or current app spec.
Generate a local-first prototype from a prompt — copies a runnable Buildable starter or writes a plan-only instruction pack.
Make the current workspace Buildable-aware by writing a local .buildable config and repo profile.
Classify an app idea and produce a local-first Buildable phase plan and app spec (archetype, stack, screens, entities, features, references).
Visually verify the prototype at: **${ARGUMENTS:-.}**
Use when generating or adapting local-first Expo and React Native prototypes from Buildable app specs, archetypes, UI patterns, design playbooks, and mobile golden templates.
Use when turning an app idea prompt into a Buildable classification, ask-vs-build decision, selected archetype, phase plan, reference set, mock-data guidance, and concrete local-first app spec.
Use when reviewing generated Buildable prototypes for build correctness, UI completeness, state coverage, accessibility, responsiveness, and local-first discipline.
Use when generating or adapting local-first web app prototypes from Buildable app specs, archetypes, UI patterns, design playbooks, and golden templates.

Local-first AI app-builder brain for Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor.
Buildable gives your coding agent the product intelligence that hosted no-code builders (Lovable, Replit Agent, Base44, Emergent) hide behind their infrastructure — archetypes, golden templates, UI/UX playbooks, and a review loop — so it goes from a vague prompt to a polished prototype, using only a small slice of context per request.
It does not replace your agent or run as a hosted platform. It is a file-based skills/plugin package that runs locally. Buildable is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by those products.
A raw coding agent starts every app from a blank slate. Hosted builders feel magical because they already know what a "todo app" or "CRM" should contain. Buildable packages that same knowledge locally:
plan selects per app and the agent composes, instead of reinventing each one.Buildable is a product-structure compiler, compact UI/UX brain, and quality gate for your coding agent: it decides what to build (archetype → screens, entities, features, states), selects reusable blocks, gives the app a selected designSystem, copies a runnable, build-verified starter, and reviews the result (build, layout, accessibility, state coverage, local-first). It is not a hosted builder.

Pairs with dedicated design skills: Buildable decides what to build, gives compact product-specific UI/UX direction, and proves it works; add a design skill when you want high-end brand exploration, custom art direction, or multiple visual concepts.

This agent specializes in scaffolding projects, integrating trending features, and building functional demos rapidly. Examples:\n\n<example>\nContext: Starting a new experiment or app idea\nuser: "Create a new app that helps people overcome phone anxiety"\nassistant: "I'll help you create a phone anxiety app. Let me use the rapid-prototyper agent to scaffold this project and build an MVP."\n<commentary>\nWhen starting any new project or experiment, use the rapid-prototyper to quickly set up the foundation and core features.\n</commentary>\n</example>\n\n<example>\nContext: Need to test a trending feature or viral concept\nuser: "I saw this TikTok trend about AI avatars, can we build something around that?"\nassistant: "That's a great trending opportunity! I'll use the rapid-prototyper agent to quickly build a prototype app featuring AI avatars."\n<commentary>\nFor capitalizing on trends and viral content, the rapid-prototyper can quickly create testable prototypes.\n</commentary>\n</example>\n\n<example>\nContext: Validating a business idea with minimal investment\nuser: "We need to test if people would pay for a subscription box curation app"\nassistant: "Let's validate that idea with a quick prototype. I'll use the rapid-prototyper agent to build an MVP with basic subscription and curation features."\n<commentary>\nBusiness validation requires fast prototyping to test market fit before full investment.\n</commentary>\n</example>\n\n<example>\nContext: Creating demo apps for stakeholder presentations\nuser: "We're meeting with investors next week and need to show them our vision"\nassistant: "I'll help create a compelling demo. Let me use the rapid-prototyper agent to build a functional prototype that showcases your vision."\n<commentary>\nInvestor demos and stakeholder presentations benefit from working prototypes rather than just mockups.\n</commentary>\n</example>
