CC-STARTUP-SKILL

Claude Code skills and plugin for disciplined project startup. The repository ships as both:

• a plugin marketplace (cc-startup-skill) installable via /plugin marketplace add OnCeUponTry/CC-STARTUP-SKILL, and
• raw skill folders that can be copied into ~/.claude/skills/ directly or via a one-line install script.

Skills are Claude Code's mechanism for packaging procedural knowledge: a markdown file with name and description frontmatter that Claude loads on demand. See the official Claude Code documentation for details.

Skills in this repository

Skill	What it does
mvp-9-phases	Nine-phase, interrogation-driven flow for building any new product from scratch. The agent informs, the user decides. Outputs are deterministic and measurable.

Prerequisites — install Claude Code

If you don't have Claude Code yet, install it first. The official commands (from https://code.claude.com/docs/en/setup) are:

Native Windows additionally requires Git for Windows. Verify with claude --version or claude doctor.

Install

Three methods, in order of simplicity. Pick whichever fits your workflow.

Method 1 — Plugin (recommended)

Install from inside a Claude Code session, no terminal copy-paste required. Skills installed this way are versioned, auto-update friendly, and namespaced under cc-startup.

Skills become available as /cc-startup:mvp-9-phases (note the cc-startup: namespace prefix — this is how plugin skills are addressed in Claude Code).

Method 2 — One-line install script

For users who prefer a shell one-liner. The script downloads the latest main branch, copies the skill folder into ~/.claude/skills/, and prints verification steps. Skills become available as /mvp-9-phases (no prefix).

macOS / Linux / WSL:

The scripts are idempotent — re-running them updates an existing install.

Method 3 — Manual copy

For users who want full control over what lands on disk.
