Turn messy braindump notes into scoped, well-argued blog posts. A five-stage ideation funnel with an adversarial red-team pass, depth-gated scoring, and a drafting/publishing checklist — as a Claude Code skill plus /funnel, /backlog, and /draft commands.
A Claude Code plugin that turns messy braindump notes into scoped, well-argued blog posts.
Most note-taking dies in the pile: you dump twenty half-thoughts into a file and can't tell how many posts are buried in there, which are worth writing, or where one stops. This plugin runs a disciplined funnel over that pile — and keeps a human in the loop for the judgments that are actually yours.
braindump note(s) ──/funnel──▶ scoped winner + backlog seeds ──/draft──▶ post skeleton
▲
/backlog (triage queued / research / parked seeds)
The funnel has five stages plus an adversarial pass:
Everything not written this round flows to a backlog (queued / research targets / parked) so nothing is lost. A separate drafting & publishing checklist carries a chosen post from blank page to publish.
The funnel deliberately stops at the judgments only the author can make. It will never set your strategic value scores or pick the winning post for you — it presents the analysis and waits. It also never edits your raw notes, and never invents a citation.

/plugin install blog-ideation-funnel@kaustubh-blog-tools
Or manually: copy skills/ and commands/ into your ~/.claude/.
/funnel <note title(s)> — run the funnel on one or more braindumps (pass several to fold cross-note clusters into one pass)./backlog — summarize and triage the seed queue; promote an item back into the funnel./draft <winning title> — scaffold posts/YYYY-MM-DD-slug.md from a scope brief (skeleton only — the substance is yours). You can also just ask in plain language ("run the ideation funnel on my eval-gaming note") — the skill triggers on intent.
The plugin works on any folder of markdown notes (built with Obsidian vaults in mind). On first use it asks which notes folder to work in and creates a Post backlog.md there.
The drafting/publishing checklist distils publicly published writing advice (Marius Hobbhahn, Neel Nanda, gwern, Astral Codex Ten / Slate Star Codex, Ben Kuhn, and several LessWrong posts) — paraphrased, with links in skills/ideation-funnel/drafting-checklist.md. The Stage 3.5 red-team draws its checks from rationalist epistemics (falsificationism; Yudkowsky's Taboo and map/territory; the conjunction fallacy; motivated cognition).
