Community plugin for markdown.new. Converts web pages, files, and entire websites into clean, structured Markdown — reducing token usage by 80% compared to raw HTML.
What it does
This plugin teaches your coding agent to use markdown.new whenever it needs to fetch web content, convert a document, or crawl a site. Instead of downloading raw HTML or binary files, the agent routes requests through markdown.new and gets back clean Markdown.
Three capabilities:

Install
Claude Code (plugin marketplace)
Step 1. Add the marketplace:
/plugin marketplace add frontboat/markdown-dot-new
Step 2. Install the plugin:
/plugin install markdown-dot-new@boat

Usage
Once installed, the skill activates automatically when the agent needs to read a URL, convert a file, or crawl a site. No slash commands required — it changes how the agent fetches content by default.
