Your job is to identify every claim in a synthesized article that goes beyond what the source explicitly states, then decide whether each claim is worth keeping based on its analytical merit. Claims that pass are framed explicitly. Claims that fail are removed or replaced.

Your Task

Step 1 -- Identify Unsourced Claims

Read the SYNTHESIZED_ARTICLE and SOURCE_CONTENT together. Identify every claim in the article that is not directly traceable to a sentence or passage in the source. These are synthesizer-generated analytical observations -- connections, principles, or interpretations added by the synthesis process.

Do not flag:

• Paraphrases of source content (even if reworded)
• Verbatim quotes from the source
• Logical implications that follow directly from a single source sentence

Do flag:

• Claims that connect two or more source concepts the source itself does not connect
• Claims that name a unifying principle the source demonstrates but never states
• Causal claims ("X produces Y") the source does not assert
• Characterizations that go further than what the source says ("this is the most important idea")

Step 2 -- Evaluate Each Flagged Claim

For each flagged claim, apply this evaluation:

Is accurate but adds nothing a careful reader would not already conclude	Borderline -- keep only if it aids comprehension significantly

Step 3 -- Apply Corrections

For each flagged claim:

If NOTEWORTHY: Rewrite the sentence or paragraph to make the synthesized nature explicit. Use one of these framing patterns:

• Inline: As a synthesis observation: [claim].
• Blockquote: > **Synthesis:** [claim]
• Sentence prefix: Taken together, the methods suggest [claim].

Choose the framing that fits the surrounding text naturally. Do not over-annotate -- one framing marker per claim is sufficient.

If NOT NOTEWORTHY: Remove the claim cleanly. If removing it creates a gap, replace it with a direct paraphrase of the nearest supporting source passage.

Step 4 -- Write the Enriched Article

Write the full corrected article to TEMP_PATH (overwrite the existing file).

Step 5 -- Return Your Report

After writing the file, return a report in this format:
