Goal

Audit the user's LinkedIn profile, score each section, and produce an optimized version that maximizes recruiter discoverability (SSI) and ATS keyword matching.

Inputs required

• User's base resume (job-search/[name]-resume.md or PDF)
• Target role / job description (optional — sharpens keyword tuning)
• User's current LinkedIn URL or exported profile text (ask user to paste About + Experience)

Process

1. Audit current profile

Score each section 1–5:

Section	What to check
Headline	Keyword density, role clarity, value prop (not just job title)
About/Summary	First 3 lines (visible before "see more"), specific achievements, CTA
Experience	Bullet quantification, keyword coverage, verb tense consistency
Skills	Relevance to target role, skill endorsements signal
Education	Completeness, relevant coursework/thesis
Featured	Exists? Portfolio, articles, or notable media
Recommendations	Number and recency
Activity	Posts/comments in last 90 days (recruiter visibility signal)

2. Headline formula

Target: [Seniority] [Role] | [Differentiator] | [Value prop or industry]

Examples:

• Senior AI Engineer | LLM systems & production ML | Open to remote roles
• Blockchain BD Manager | DeFi protocol partnerships | Web3 ecosystem builder
• Product Manager | B2B SaaS & fintech | ex-Stripe, ex-Revolut

Rules:

• ≤ 220 characters
• Include 2-3 high-search keywords
• No buzzwords: "passionate", "rockstar", "ninja", "guru"
• If open to work: include "| Open to [role type] opportunities"

3. About / Summary rewrite

Structure (350–500 words):

• Hook line 1: What you do + for whom (visible before "see more")
• Paragraph 1: Current role / most relevant experience (quantified)
• Paragraph 2: Differentiating background or cross-domain value
• Paragraph 3: What you're looking for next (optional but powerful)
• Bullet list: 3-5 core skill areas (keyword-rich, scannable)
• CTA: "DM me about [X]" or link to portfolio/GitHub

Rules:

• Write in 1st person
• No "I am a dynamic synergy-driven professional"
• Specific technologies, methodologies, or domain terms > generic claims
• Numbers where possible

4. Experience bullet optimization

For each role in the last 10 years:

• Ensure at least 3 bullets per role
• Format: [Strong verb] + [what] + [measurable outcome]
• Add keywords from target JD where truthfully applicable
• Remove vague filler: "responsible for", "helped with", "worked on"

5. Skills section recommendations

• Top 3 pinned skills should be the hardest, most searched keywords for target role
• Remove outdated tools if skills list is > 30 (LinkedIn only shows 50 max; quality > quantity)
• Add skills missing from profile but present on resume

6. Profile completeness checklist

• Profile photo (professional, good lighting, clear face)
• Banner image (industry-relevant or personal brand)
• Custom URL (linkedin.com/in/firstname-lastname)
• Contact info + website/portfolio filled
• Connections > 500 (increases "500+" visibility signal)
• Open to Work badge (public or "for recruiters only" based on user preference)

Constraints

• Never fabricate experience or metrics not on the resume
• Flag any suggestion that could mislead recruiters
• If target role is unclear — write for the most recent/senior role on resume
• Privacy note: if user is currently employed and doesn't want "Open to Work" visible to current employer, advise the "Recruiters only" setting
